Hi, I’m Lisa Shaw

My purpose is to teach, guide, and support all those seeking to live up to their highest potential.

My intentions as a psychotherapist are to help you understand, release, and heal the parts of “self” that are felt to be out of balance, stuck, and/or wounded. As human-beings, we have the innate ability to heal ourselves from past stories that no longer serve us in the present. This profound healing can transform your life to having more meaning and purpose.

I have 20 years of experience working in the social service field with individuals from all ethnic/racial and religious backgrounds. Seventeen of those years as a psychotherapist with a trauma informed care focus.

I attained my master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). I am a licensed clinical social worker. I am skilled and trained in multiple treatment and performance models that are Evidence Based and/or supported by the current Brain Science research. The various treatment models I often use are brain-body based therapies with somatic mindfulness approaches that support the body’s natural ability to heal itself.

My areas of strengths include treating unresolved trauma, secondary trauma, PTSD, attachment issues, and/or other mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. Additionally, my skill set includes improving and enhancing personal & professional development by releasing performance blocks hindering the person’s quality of life.

Who do I serve?
